Last updated: 9 June 2026
This policy explains how we collect and use your personal data when you visit this website or book a consultation, and the rights you have under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Please read it alongside our Cookie Policy.
Who we are
Shine Veneers is a composite-veneer service and a trading name of Straights Global Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are the “data controller” responsible for your personal data.
- Registered company: Straights Global Limited (company number [Companies House registered number])
- Registered address: [registered office address]
- ICO registration number: [ICO registration reference]
- Contact for data protection: hello@shineveneers.com
The data we collect
- Booking details — when you book a consultation through our scheduling tool (Calendly), we collect your name, email address, phone number, and any information you add about your appointment.
- Enquiry details — if you call us, the phone number you call from and anything you tell us about your enquiry.
- Marketing & measurement data — if you accept marketing cookies, the Meta (Facebook) Pixel collects information about your visit (such as pages viewed and a pseudonymous identifier) to help us measure and improve our advertising. This is not collected unless you opt in.
- Technical data — standard server and device information (e.g. IP address, browser type) generated automatically when any website is accessed.
How we use your data, and our legal basis
| What we do | Why | Legal basis (UK GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Arrange and manage your consultation or enquiry | To respond to you and provide the service you asked for | Contract / legitimate interests |
| Measure and improve our advertising (Meta Pixel) | To understand which marketing reaches people and reduce wasted spend | Consent |
| Keep the website secure and working | To run and protect the site | Legitimate interests |
Where we rely on consent (our marketing cookies), you can withdraw it at any time — see “Your choices” below — without affecting anything we did before you withdrew it.
Cookies and tracking
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Marketing trackers such as the Meta Pixel load only after you accept them on our cookie banner. Full details, including how to change your choice, are in our Cookie Policy.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers that help us run Shine Veneers:
- Calendly — powers our online booking. Calendly privacy notice.
- Meta Platforms — provides the advertising pixel, only if you opt in. Meta privacy policy.
- Our clinic network — we pass your booking details to the clinic delivering your consultation. [confirm clinic data-sharing arrangement]
International transfers
Some providers (including Calendly and Meta) are based outside the UK, so your data may be transferred internationally. Where it is, we rely on safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum to keep it protected. [confirm transfer safeguards with your providers]
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes above, then delete or anonymise it. Indicative periods:
- Booking & enquiry records: [e.g. X years after last contact]
- Marketing / pixel data: as set by Meta and our cookie durations (see Cookie Policy)
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased, or its use restricted;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing;
- data portability; and
- withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it.
To exercise any of these, email hello@shineveneers.com. We will respond within one month.
Your choices
You can change or withdraw your cookie consent at any time from our Cookie Policy page, and you can unsubscribe from any marketing we send using the link in the message.
Complaints
We hope to resolve any concern directly, but you have the right to complain to the UK regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF — ico.org.uk, helpline 0303 123 1113.
